County, Virginia. Will and inventory, Peter Cartwright, Sr., Caldwell
County, Kentucky, naming his son, the famous Rev. Peter Cartwright
executor. When Christiaan (Garvin) Cartwright died in 1838, both of her
daughters were dead. Christiaan Cartwright died at home of daughter-in-
law, Sophia Wilcox, wife of her son John, an illegitimate son of Rev.
Edmund Wilcox of Virginia.
