Allen Notes: This family was received on certificate from the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Alamance Co. NC on 15 June 1872 (written as 6m 15, 1872). Many of the children were born & died in North Carolina, but their names and birth/death information was carried on the records of the Springfield MM. In late 1887 this family went by train to Jackson Co., Alabama. At this time it is not clear if or when they returned to Indiana, but notations in the Springfield minutes indicate it's possible that they returned. Hence the notation "Alabama or Indiana" for event places until it can be researched further.
