Kate MANNION's parents and brothers (John and Martin MANNION of Kalamazoo, MI)
immigrated from Ireland abt. 1864 and initially settled in Nashville, TN. Her
name is spelled as: Catherine, Katherine, Kate, Katie, MANION and MANNION in
official records. Kate and Edward were married and resided in Chicago (902 N.
Labrobe Ave, renamed from Alma St). So, it is safe to assume all 8 children were
born in Chicago. 

Either daughter Mary or daughter Katherine became a nun: Sister Mary Xavierius
B.V.M. The other died before 1941 (only Sister Mary was mentioned in Edward Sr's
obit).
