NOTES:
Elijah's only known marriage was rather late in life (age 38) so it may be
that he was previously widowed (his parents were caring for a very young child in 1850
of no currently known relationship -- 5 year old Rebecca may have been a
grandchild, though her last name is listed as either Green or Greer on the census).
His wife Elizabeth was somehow related to his Aunt's husband Thomas Vincent, and may
have actually been his Aunt's stepdaughter. He died of gastritis at
Richmond VA.
