Death Certificates.  Solomon Reese was a carpenter and miner.  He died en
route to the California gold fields.  He and his family joined the
Methodist Church.  A cousin, James Reese, who was a Methodist Minister
wrote in his autobiography that Solomon Reese had been described as being
of noble disposition and even tempered.  Solomon Reese and his wife have
many descendants in Georgia.  The earlier spelling of the family name was
Rees.
