NOTES: There was a Palmer A. Higgins who married Jane Headspeth in
Jackson, Georgia on 4 Oct. 1838, but he isn't this Palmer and I don't
know if that
Palmer might be the other son or not. Palmer A. Higgins had a distinctive
signature so it is easy to know which one he was. Palmer was a gunsmith
and son, William, was a silversmith. It is possible that Palmer was
buried at
Forrest Cem. in Gadsden as other members of his family were. His middle
name was probably Ashley. I am a descendent of William and Charlotte
Higgins.
