Notes:
* Isham PEACOCK was a Revolutionary War Soldier. The 1835 Georgia Pension Roll shows him living in Tattnall Co., GA
and served in the North Carolina Militia receiving $26.66 annual allowance and $79.98 received 10/05/1833. Pension
started at age 91. He is buried in an unmarked grave at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Pierce Co., GA.
* Sarah PEACOCK is buried with her husband Kedar Keaton in the Keaton Graveyard, Carroll Co., GA.
* John PEACOCK was living in McIntosh Co., GA in 1820 at which time they had one son and two daughters under the age
of 10. On 10/19/1828 he sold 400 acres of land in Liberty Co., GA and 100 acres of land in McIntosh Co., GA to James
Brewer all for $125.00. On 11/06/1830 John bought Lot #41, District 8, containing 490 acres in Ware Co., GA for $150.00
from James Young of Bulloch Co., GA. He was in the 1830 census of Ware Co., GA. John sold this land to Jmaes Taylor of
Telfair Co., GA for $175.00 on 01/30/1832. They lived in the part of Ware Co. that became Pierce Co. John married
Elizabeth ?, after the death of his wife Unity PEARCE. John and Elizabeth were members of Jones Creek Baptist Church in
Liberty Co. John transferred his membership to Union Baptist Church prior to 1832. Elizabeth was received by letter on
02/09/1833. 12/27/1823 Minutes of Jones Creek Baptist Church in Liberty Co., GA. "A sermon was delivered and after a few
minutes intermission Conference set in order after singing. Brother John PEACOCK rose and stated that he had
transgressed and has been beastly drunk and did not expect the Church to receive him, but he wished them to forgive him
for enough to pray for him, and the Church recommended him to go and try to obtain forgiveness of his aged father."
