* Stella Martin Watson Burrell;
* Various census records;
* Marriage records, Rabun Co., GA;
* Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rabun Co., GA;
* Death certificate of John Martin Jr.

Notes:
* Traditionally, John MARTIN Sr. came over from Ireland with two brothers; one brother lived in South Carolina and the other brother moved out west somewhere.
* John was supposed to've fought in the Civil War, and there is even a Confederate marker placed at what is believed to be his burial site on Germany Mountain in Clayton, Rabun Co., GA. I have not been able to independently confirm his service, however. In fact, the first record I have for John Sr. is his marriage record to Celia CARVER, whose family lived in the Chechero area of Rabun County, along the South Carolina border.
