* Dr. Peter Fite HOYLE replaced Charles Murphey as Dekalb's delegate to the Georgia Secession Convention in 1861.
* According to Franklin Garrett in "Atlanta & Environs", PF Hoyle's plantation was located where Agnes Scott College is today.
* Dekalb County Georgia Historical Collections, Vol 1, 1952 states that Dr. Hoyle split the $5.00 prize at the 1847 fair held in St. Mt. (at Andrew's?) for his brood mare.
* Elizabeth PITTMAN - According to Peter Heyl & His Descendants by Elizabeth Hoyle Rucker, Elizabeth was a widow married to Hiram Pittman, who is buried in Norcross GA.
