* Henry Dutton first came to Ga as part of a group of 30 men from Conn & Mass who sailed from Boston to Savannah Ga to help rebuild the city after the Revolutionary War. He was a carpenter. He served as a lieutenant in the Volunteer Troup L Dragoons, 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regt, Ga Militia. Henry may have been married once before his marriage to Mary Ann Wilson and may have had two older daughters. He married Ann Cox after Mary Ann's death. Around the time of his marriage to Mary Ann, he moved to Bulloch Co Ga where he became a builder of plantation houses. The first wife of his son Joseph, Nancy Williams, was a sister of Martha Sarah Williams who married his son Andrew. Coincidentally, Joseph's second wife was named Sarah Martha Williams.
