Notes:
  * John E DUNN
John E., William, and James K. Dunn were living as neighbors to William Dickson according to the 1830 Hancock Co., tax records. In 1831 all 4 were living in Hancock District 112 although only James K.. reports any land at the time. In the 1833 tax books all 4 are listed together on the same page, again in the 112th District. In 1835, they are all there except for William who had moved to Cobb Co., by this time. In 1840 only John E. and Augustus B. were lift in the 112th district, after James K.'s move to Cobb Co. There is no record of John E. Dunn in Hancock Co. after the 1850 census.
  * Elmina (Elmyra) JERNIGAN
Death: Possibly died in childbirth? Last child, Elmina, born July 23, 1847 and John E. married Malinda Howell August 20, 1847.
  * William Alexander DUNN CSA Private March 4, 1862. Company E 48th Regiment Georgia Infantry, Jefferson Co., Ga. Killed at 2nd Manassas, Va., August 30, 1862.
  * James Hardy DUNN
Family moved to Floyd County, Georgia, prior to 1860. Lived in Hancock County, Georgia in 1870. Resided in Polk County, Georgia during and after 1880.
  * Augustus Franklin "Gus" DUNN CSA
He originally enlisted as a private in Company K., 15th Regiment Georgia Volunteers, C. S. A. Hancock County, Ga. discharged in 1862. Enlisted as private in Co. E, 48th GA Regiment Infantry, March 4, 1862. Wounded at Cold Harbor, Va. June 27, 1862; Crater near Petersburg, Va. July 30, 1864. Surrendered, Appomattox. At Manassas, he was in Mess No. 1 with brother G.. P. Dunn and cousin G. W. Dudley neither of whom survived the War.
  * George Pierce DUNN CSA
Served in Co. K., 15th Regiment Georgia Volunteers, C. S. A. Hancock Co., Ga. Died of pneumonia, Chimborazo Hospital #1, Richmond, Va., March 11, 1862.
