1822. Thomas Dudley sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff. (Brantley. Hancock
Inferior Court Minutes)

1824. Thomas Dudley is one of witnesses against Robert Flournoy, Sr. & Jr.

to the abuse of 7 slaves who died following abuse. (Georgia Journal)

In 1829, his land was listed as being in the 113th Tax District on the
Little
Ogeechee with 8 slaves. By 1849, the numbre of slaves had increased to 19.

Thomas Dudley on Grand Jury, Hancock Superior Court, October Term, 1837,
October Term, 1838, April Term, 1839, May Term 1841, and April Term 1842.

1850 Hancock Co., Ga. census shows Thomas Dudley as being 64 years of age,
born in Va, a farmer and ;woth $3,000.

1860 Hancock Co., Ga. census shows Thomas, age 74, with wife T--,age 41,
with
children: William, George, James, Maray E, Robert, charles, & Julia. #279

In 1860, Thomas Dudley owned 6 slave houses and 34 slaves. He was a planter

with real estate worth $6,500 and personal property worth $25.000

The Dudley plantation located about 6 miles South East of Sparta, Hancock
County, GA
