* Thanks to Mr Brian Cone of Marietta, Ga for his internet post on the Thomas DAVIS family. He found in some of his ancestor's & mine (Perry A. Allen 1854-1933) papers this info prepared by Perry for Samuel DAVIS (Thomas's son). The notes showed Thomas and Tempy's born & death dates but only the born dates of the kids. The elder son, James, I believe his born date should have been 1815. In speculation I believe he married Eliza Elkins in 1836 and they went on to raise a family in Clayton County, Ga. Some of my relatives had found Thomas listed in the family Bibles but only on Thomas & Tempy.
* Since 1850 was the first census to show family names other than head of HH the 1850 Henry County census listed only 3 children at home. I can not locate Thomas on the 1860 or 1870 Censuses.
