unless sooner discharged - to serve anywhere in Georgia, August 15, 1863

Served in Company E, 15th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry "Hancock
Volunteers". Private April 12, 1864. Surrendered, Appomattox, Va. April 9,

1865.
Benjamin was 16 when he ran away from school to join the Confederate Army.

Hancock Co., burning the Dickson home and pulling up the apple orchard.
Her father, James M. was away fighting for the Confederacy.

Death(13): Louise Dunn Worsham remembers her mother, Anna Maude Clarke
Dunn, saying that Bedford died when she was ten years old which would in
1893.

this profession until near the early 1940s.

General(16,17,18): Bennie or "Dock" was born a normal child but had polio
at the age of two. It left him brain damaged and paralyzed on one side.
He lived with his parents until they died then with siblings.
Bennie Clarke is written on his tombstone, no date.

Burial (19): Bolden was first buried in Bethel then moved to the Sparta
Cemetery.
