* 1786 Dec. 29- William bought 423 acres of land from Benjamin Porter and Patsy Claiborne his wife for L100 sterline..(Deeds 1:341-2) Granted to Porter Original deed in book b p 233 Wit. 9 Jul. 1787 History of Greene Co Created 1786 Milit. Dist 162.
* 1788 Tax list shows William Brown in Cap Davis Gresham's Dist with 603 acres 1 poll and 5 slaves. He had 220 from somewhere.
* 1789 is too dim to read.
* 1793 William was in Capt Peoples Dist with 200 a adj Thos Daniel on waters of Town Cr 1 poll and 5 slaves. Booth and Davis Gresham were in same district. 403 acres unaccounted for. He sold land in 1793, so possibly they were already living there and paying taxes.

From GEORGIA ATLAS & GAZETTEER published by DeLorme, 1998 Shoulderbone Creek his son Ezekiel with 130? acres adj Swansey and his son Reuben with 15- ac adj Ogletree all on Richland Cr.This totals 390 acres.
