1762  Aug. 17 John with consent of my Mother Jennett bound
to      learn tailoring   (with Mother's
permission to apprentice to) from Jno (John) Buchanan (to learn how to be
a tailor) beginning
1762 for four years and six months.  witnesses Jno Wilson, Robert Harris

11 John served as a Pvt. In additon he was a wagon master employed in
removing the public papers and records to safety when Provost advanced
toward Charleston. He
served as a horseman under Major Wales at Orangeburg from Feb to 8 Apr
1782. He served at
Quarter House and Biggin Church and during 1782 was under General
Henderson (at Edisto) . In
additon, he lost a horse, jn, etc. at Sumters Defeat.
Built First house in Greensboro  1789 Tax List Greene Co Ga. shows James
with brother John and Andrew.Same year as Witnesses
and owners of Adj. land..Jno Armor,Martha Armor.
