Community, and New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery at Between,
GA
recorded tombstone inscriptions and verified Bible records.
The death date of George W. Carter is also verified in the Roster of
Confederate Soldiers of Georgia, Vol. 6, p 560-568, Muster Roll, Company
K, 64th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of N. Va., CSA,
Fulton
& Walton counties. Cause of death listed as "brain fever, in camp."
The asterisks next to Lucy Ann Carter's parents indicate information
based on interpolation and speculation but no definite documentation.
Lucy's maiden name was Carter and she always lived in a household
documented in the 1850, 60, 70 census near Lesley G. Carter. Lesley
