Sid stayed in his home area and, according to his obituary,  was a retired
farmer.  He also had worked for a number of years soliciting subscriptions
for the Macon Telegraph throughout South Georgia..  He died suddenly in Fort
Valley, age 55.  His grand-daughter is of the opinion that farming was not
his main occupation.
