1.  CHARLES1 BOND, SR. was born Abt. 1712 in Virginia, and died 1775
in Surry County, North Carolina.  He married MARY PARKS Abt. 1733 in Goochland
County, Virginia, daughter of THOMAS PARKS.  She was born Bet. 1712 - 1715 in
Essex County, Virginia, and died Abt. 1779 in Franklin County, Georgia.

Notes for CHARLES BOND, SR.:
1733, June 20, Charles Bond received a land grant of 250 acres in Goochland County,
Virginia, Little Byrd Creek.  He migrated to North Carolina and in 1772 is listed in
Surry County Taxtables.

1735, February 11, Charles Bond of Goochland County and Mary his wife, sold to
William Johnson of Middlesex County, 250 acres on Little Bird Creek, Bounded by
Robert Horsley, Witnesses: James George, Joseph Pace, Thomas Brackett.  Signed
Charles and Mary Bond.  Recorded April 20, 1736.

1741, September 15th, Deed of John Maddox of Goochland County, Virginia, to Charles
Bond of same, planter, 200 acres on South Side of James River on fork of Deep Creek,
as patent to said Maddox, next to John Tabr, John Hopson, William Medlock, Thomas
Burch, and Stephen Huges.  Witnesses, Tarlton Woodson, Jr., John Allen, George Payne,
Jr., recorded September 15, 1741, Elizabeth, wife of Maddox, relinquished her dower rights.

1772, Surry County, North Carolina taxables - Charles Bond.

1774, The family lived in Goochland County, and Charlotte County, Virginia. In 1771 the
family moved to Surry County, North Carolina.  Charles Bond's will was dated March 16, 1774
and probated May 1775 in Surry County, North Carolina.  Will book page 44 leaves the estate
to wife, Mary, then sons Jesse and John.  It names two grandsons, Allen Woodero Bond and
Robert Nicholas Bond (sons of William Bond) and mentions William Bond (called Billy).
Note:  Large area of Goochland County, Virginia became part of Albemarle County.
Note:  Chales and Mary's marriage is undocumented.
I, Charles Bond of Albemarle County, Virginia sell to Christopher Hunt 100 acres of lands
adjoining Nathan Bond for 15 pounds.

1775, Surry County North Carolina.  Wills and or settlement of the estate records.  Charles Bond
Sr., 1775 Surry County, Will Book 1 page 43, AR  Will dated March 16, 1772 and probated
May 1775.

Will of Thomas Parks dated 1752 and probated March 12, 1761 states that Charles Bond's wife
Mary, is left one Shilling by her father Thomas Parks.  Some Parks researchers doubt that Mary
Parks was the wife of Charles Bond, Sr.

headwaters of the Little Tennessee River in Kentucky.

1782, May 27, GrandJury ordered George Bond, orphan, son of John Bond, boy 13 years of
age to be bound unto John Clark, blacksmith until attain 21 years.

5.  JESSE2 BOND (CHARLES1) was born Abt. 1745, and died 1781 in Wa. County,
Kentucky.  He married MISS WALTON, daughter of ROBERT WALTON and MARY HUGHS.

Notes for JESSE BOND:
Jesse Bond was killed by Indians at Cowed, Washington County, Kentucky.
In the summer of 1772, Jesse Bond, Jesse Walton, Edward Rice, William Hightower, and
Benjamine Cleveland set out on a trip of hunting and exploring the land of Kentucky.  They were
attacked by Indians and lost their guns, horses and every thing they had.  The story is in a book titles
"Kings Mountain and Its Heroes" by Lyman C. Draper, LLD.  The "Biological History of Warren
County, Illinois," states that Jesse Bond and family moved to Kentucky where he was killed by Indians.

1778 Washington County, Kentucky tax poles state taxes of Jesse Bond is 100 pounds.

Jesse Bond's best friend was Jesse Walton, his wife's cousin.

Jesse Bond's brother-in-law was George Walton, a signer of the Declaration of Independance and
a Governor of Georgia.

William Thomas Bond served in the American Revolution.
His grave was reportedly located in Grundy County, Tennessee at River Baptist Church
Cemetery by the Daughters of the American Revolution as noted in their 1940 yearbook, page 82.
North Carolina Service Pension - Warren County, served in the North Carolina Continental
Line as a private.  Pension started September 27, 1833 - $30 annually and a total of $90
was received.

Eason was about 17 years of age when he came with his parents and other families from
Virginia to Georgia, Elbert County.  His name is on the Tax List of Franklin County in 1808,
being assessed for 200 acres on Nail's Creek, but he was living in Elbert County, for he was on the petit jury for 1808-1809.

Stephen Pennington Bond was listed in the Georgia Gazette of 1881 and 1882 as a planter in
West Bowersville, Ga. (later changed to Canon, Ga.) In the 1883 and 1983 issues he is listed
as a merchant and justice of the peace in Manley's District.  He was also a miller and raised horses
which exempted him from service in the War Between the States.  He had a large Mercantile
establishment that carried everything needed by the farmers from one season to the next, with
his largest trade in salt pork.
