According to Franklin Garrett in "Atlanta & Environs", PF Hoyle's plantation was located where Agnes Scott College is today. Dekalb County Georgia Historical Collections, Vol 1, 1952 states that Dr. Hoyle split the $5.00 prize at the 1847 fair held in St. Mt.
