Notes:
* C.T. Bannerman served one term in the House of Representatives during the 9th Legislature. He gave his address as Navarro in Leon County, and represented the 39th district, consisting of Leon and Madison counties. The elections for the 9th Legislature were held in August 1861; the regular legislative session ran from 4 Nov 1861 to 14 Jan 1862, and the extra session ran from 2 Feb 1863 to 6 Mar 1863. Members of the Texas Legislature 1846 – 1962.
* Military service: On 7 Sept 1861 Charles Thomas BANNERMAN enlisted at Houston Texas as an adjutant in Gould's 6th Battalion, Company D, Walker's Texas Calvary Division, Confederate Army, Company D, 6th Battalion (SGT-LT-ADJ). Charles fought in the Battle of Mansfield, Louisiana and was wounded in the battle of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, 9 April 1864. He taken to the MOSS residence in Mansfield, La., Apr.16, 1864, where the tender care of Miss Sarah Gardner MOSS resulted in their marriage in Mansfield, Aug 4,1864. Charles Thomas BANNERMAN never rejoined his company because of his war injury.
