Florida Census: 1860--New River, 1870-- Baker Co., 1880 & 1885--Bradford Co., 1900, 1910 Bradford Co. Swift Creek Cemetery Records, Union County Florida, Bradford County Marriage Records. Note: New River County was created in 1860 and in 1861 was renamed Bradford Co. Seaborn Dobson served in the Confederate Army as a Private in Company F, 4th Florida Infantry. He enlisted in 1862 and was captured at Dallas, Georgia in 1864 and sent to Union prison at Rock Island, Illinois. He was exchanged on March 2, 1865 at City Point, Virginia. He applied for a received a Confederate pension in 1908 and received this until his death in 1919. After the death of his first wife he married Martha Ann Alford Harriett (widow of Joseph Harriett) Circa 1867/68 in Florida. From this marriage there was nine children: Henry Dobson, Joseph Dobson, Seleta Dobson, Mattie Dobson, Bell Dobson, Anna Dobson, George Dobson, Sidney Dobson and Bessie Dobson. Mary Ann Alford died 5 January 1912 at Lake Butler, Florida. .
