BURRELL DOUGLASS 
1850 - Burrell DOUGLASS (then spelled with 2 "S's) was living in Hamilton 
County, FL. 
1854 - He moved to Wayne County, GA. he is listed in the land lottery and 
headright grant book. His wife was Mary (Last name Unknown). They had 8 
children. 
1870 - Burrell & his family are on the Ware County, GA Census. 
Burrell and Mary had the following children: 
James R. who married Emily Jane EUNICE (Ware Co.), 
Nancy who married Moses MANNING (1860 in Wayne Co.), 
William (no record of marriage), 
Henry who married Polly Ann STRICKLAND (Ware Co.) 
Seaborn who married Rebecca LANE (Ware Co. these are my g-grandparents) 
Jane (no record of marriage) 
Mary Ann who married William A. BARBER (His 1rst wife, Ware Co.) 
Burrell who married Minnie NEWTON (Ware Co). 
1870 - According to land records Burrell purchased land lot #399. 
1885 - He died sometime around this year. 
The Waycross Headright newspaper showed his two sons as executors of his 
estate trying to sell the land (490 acres) I believe that the same land 
where Lottie TATUM's place is.
