Mr. and Mrs. Burnett lived in Macclenny, Florida and owned and operated their Western Auto Store. They opened this store in the 1940's and sold the business and retired in the 1970's. Mr. Burnett had received a teaching certificate from the University of Florida in the late 1920's. Mr. Burnett prior to opening his Western Auto Store had been a high school principal and had been the Clerk of the Court for Baker County, Florida from 1932 until 1940. He and his wife were members of the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Burnett was the church clerk for many years. The couple maintained a second home at Salt Springs, Florida where they enjoyed hunting and fishing. The couple have six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
