He filed for his CSA Pension, # A11843 in 1902 in Hamilton Co., FL. In 1830 Twiggs Co., GA Census there was a James AVERETT and a John AVERETT. In the 1840 Twiggs Co., GA Census, there was Benjamin Averet and James Averet. 1850 Twiggs Co., GA Census, Mary AVERETT was a widow and moved to Hamilton Co., FL before the 1860 Census. Mary is shown as Mary EVERETT in the 1860 Hamilton Co., FL Census. Some time after the family moved to Hamilton Co., FL, the spelling of the name AVERETT changed to AVRIETT.
