The death certificate showed he was there 4 yrs & 4 months and he died from throat cancer. His previous or usual residence was listed as Wilmington. It also shows him as Married. The age at death was listed as 67 years. The undertaker's name appears to be George M. Fisher Inc, at 722 King Street, Wilm, De. The undertaker had an advertisement on page 61 of the 1930 Wilmington City Directory. It showed James F. Hearn as the Funeral Director/Embalmer. A Delaware Certificate of Death #1549 dated June 7, 1930 is available at the state archives. Burial Information was received showing the following: Elsworth Holt Buried: June 7, 1930 Riverview Cemetery Section 06 (East side of Cemetery) Lot 164 Postion 4. This is a plot for 4 people; however, according to Riverview's records, there are no other remains buried with Elsworth Holt. The 1900 Federal Census shows an Ellsworth Holt in Newport City, Rhoad Island born in Delaware, married to Jennie and with three sons Ellsworth Jr, Clarence R, and Harry H. No other information can be obtained on Elsworth Holt after 1909 in Rhoad Island. The 1910 Census only lists Jennie and the children. Elsworth's uncle Capt Richard Shaw was a ship Captain and married a girl from Providence, Rhode Island. I believe that Elsworth could have sail with him to Rhoad Island. All information obtained at the Delaware Public Archives, Hall of Records, Dover, DE. 19901., Birth, Marriage, Death records, Census records 1860 thru 1930, Wilmington City Directories 1855-1940, Tatnal Tombstone Records, and Probate Records.
