Documentation: Immigrated before 1870, probably before 1868 when
his
siter was married to Isaac Freund. Marriage records on file and can
be
seen on Ancestry.com. Grocer in Denver - many ads can be
seen on the
Colorado Historic Newspaper website. May have been one of several Heitler
brothers who were grocers in various mining towns. Member of Knights
of
Pythias, served as Grand Chancellor. Became a pawn broker as
the mining
boom faded. 1870 Census, Denver, Arapahoe, CO (Emanuel Heitler).
1880
Census, DEnver, Arapahoe, CO (E. Heitler). Emaunel died before the
1900
Census was taken - Charlotte lived with son Abram at that time. 1900
Census, Denver, Arapahoe, CO (Abram Heitler) Julius Heitler never
married, but went into business with Jacob Bloom - does not appear
in the
census after 1920. Tillie and Jacob Bloom had one child which
died in
infancy. Jacob Bloom had remarried by 1930, indicating that Tillie
had
died. Carrie and Alfred Freedheim had a son named Eugene. This
family
never appears in the census. .
