Cornelia Francis Agee Gowin Patton died soon after the birth of her daughter, Cornelia (PATTON) MCFARREN, in 1892, in TX. There were no other children of this marriage, so Cornelia (PATTON) MCFARREN was raised like an only child, though she spoke of at least one half-brother. Samuel E. PATTON married Martha A.(unknown surname) about 1893, and, moved to AR, apparently sometime between 1892 and 1900. Samuel E. PATTON was married 3 times. Cornelia mentioned a half brother, who was killed in a RR accident, location unknown. This brother's mother would have been the first wife of Samuel E. Patton. Cornelia, her father Sam, and stepmother Martha appeared in the 1900 Census in Searcy, AR 29 Sept. 1909 Marriage Certificate Searcy Co., AR for Exie MCFARREN and Cornelia PATTON 1910 Census in Searcy Co., AR Cornelia and Exie McFarren, Samuel and Martha Patton Confederate Indigent Families - have papers of pension approval from AR, but served from TX (actually action was largely in AR.)
