Gano marriage: April 10, 1913, Dallas, Dallas Co., TX other marriages: death: About 1963, CA NOTES: Notes for LOWREY, Isaac Thomas Collie: On the 1870 Federal Census for Southfork Township, Clark County, Arkansas, Isaac was 19 years old and said to be at school. FEDERAL LAND RECORDS FOR CLARK COUNTY, ARKANSAS: Isaac Thomas Collie Lowrey bought 80 acres of land in Section 25, No T, 9S, R, 21W, on April, 27, 1885. The source of this infomation was the Arkansas GEDWEB PROJECT Web site archives. "I never knew anything about my grandfather, Isaac Thomas Collie Lowrey. Since doing this genealogy I have found out he was born in Alabama, went to school in Arkansas, married in Arkansas, bought three lots in McCurtain County, Oklahoma and died in Washington State in 1907 and was buried there. Why he was in the state of Washington, I do not know because he did not take his wife with him. His wife died and was buried in Hugo, Oklahoma." By: Grandson of Isaac Thomas Collie Lowrey. Notes for CROSS, Elizabeth Deneshia: Was known as Lizzie by her family. She was living in Hugo, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma at the time of her death and she is buried at the Springs Chapel Cemetery there. Notes for LOWREY, John Robert: He met his wife Annie Evans Hassel in Palestine, Texas. He worked for the railroad as a ticket agent and according to his daughter-in-law, he was one of the few able to work for the railroad during the depression because he had joined the union. When he lived in Black Springs, he ran a small grocery store and if a special delivery letter was received, he had to walk to deliver it to the addressee. When he lived in Little Rock, he was an elevator operator. He died of a heart attack at the age of sixty- three and is buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Source of this information: The daughter-in-law and granddaughter of John Robert Lowrey Notes for LOWREY, Lee Allen: As a young man, Lee took a correspondence course in accounting and followed that profession for the rest of his life. He worked for the Texas & Pacific Railroad in Dallas, Texas and Brownwood, Texas, the Rodgers-Meyers Furniture Company in Dallas, H. G. Wheat Public Accounting Office in Paris, Texas, Northeast Texas Motor Freight Lines in Paris, Texas and operated his own Public Accounting Office in Paris until he retired. He was a member and held office in the IOOF Lodge, was a member of the Baptist Church and during the time his children were in school, he served on and was the President of the Board of Trustees for several years of the Vickery Texas School. He enjoyed sports and made it a point to attend all the football, baseball and basketball games and usually one of his seven children was on the team at the time. He died of a heart attack at the age of 70 in Dallas, Texas and is buried at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
