NOTES:  Dates taken from tombstones in Holly Springs Cemetery and Leek/Drake 
Cemetery.  Also from family bibles.

Bolin Green married twice.  First wife, Nancy E. Tidwell, was his stepsister.  
His father, JamesN. Bailey, married second wife, Mary E. Tidwell around 1876/77 
in Lincoln County, Bolin Green married Nancy shortly after that.  In the early 
1890's Nancy may have become ill.  Family history states that B.G. went to Hot 
Springs purchased land, but came back, and never sold the land.  Nancy died in 
1896, but before she died, she was reported to have said that Bolin Green would 
marry the woman that he had been seeing in the general store in Garnett.  Within 
the year he had married Melissa Burns.  A young woman, only 3 years older than 
his own oldest son.  The marriage caused a rif in the family that was never healed.  
Anyway, speculation was that Nancy and B.G. had gone to Hot Springs because Nancy 
had been ill, but returned to Lincoln County when she did not become better.  
This is just reported family history, not confirmed.  Still looking for a death 
record for Nancy.  Also looking for birth record for Bolin Green in Alabama.
