Documentation: Jacob & Harriet Kelly moved with Harriet's parents between
1846 & 1848 from Lexington District, S. C. to Coosa Co., AL. Both Jacob
Kelly and Harriet's parents, William & Barbra Lybrand appear in the 1840
Lexington, S. C. census.

Jacob Kelly's death is mentioned in the 1902 minutes of the Central
Baptist Association. Jacob could have died in Coosa Co. AL., or could
have moved with his son to Chilton Co., AL., and died there. Jacob was
living with his son Joseph in the 1900 Alabama federal census. Joseph is
listed in the 1910 Alabama federal census as living in Chilton Co., AL.

The 1866 Alabama State census reflects that Jacob Kelly had one son
killed during the "War between the States", and one son died of sickness.
The first three son's were listed by initials only in the federal census.
