Documentation: Research of John Burnett of Kingsville, Texas. Anthony Randolph Peeler (known commonly as Randolph Peeler)and his wife Sarah Malone married in Georgia and moved to Montgomery County, Alabama by 1830. They had five children by the time Anthony R. Peeler died circa 1836. The court papers filed by his wife stated he died in Greene County, Alabama. This is proven by the letters of Tutorship filed in Union Parish district court in 1847. The daughter Eliza Peeler seems to have been born after her father\'s death. Sarah Malone Peeler moved with her brother Johnston Malone and her mother Ulsey (Elsie) Worthington Malone to Union Parish, Louisiana. The two sons Marion A. Peeler and William R. Peeler both enrolled as privates in Co. E, 19th Louisiana Infantry (Confederate Army). Both died in service during the war.
