Additional Comments:
Joseph HOWE moved with his parents, Francis Marion HOWE and Susan Randle (COOK)
HOWE, from Pike County, GA. to Randolph Co., AL about 1857. Several Pike Co., GA
families, including members of the COOK and BROWN families, who had intermarried
with the HOWE family, migrated into Randolph Co. together. They are listed on the
1860 Census in Randolph Co., AL. Joseph HOWE's children were born in Chambers Co.,
AL, where he and his wife, Lucy A.(MICKLE)HOWE were living. Francis Marion HOWE
and three of his brothers died during the Civil War. Francis had been a carpenter
by trade.
