Additional Comments:
Dr. A.F.M. Garrett came to Tallapoosa Co. via Tn and then Chattaooga Co., GA. In
the 1850 census he is listed as a mechanic, 1860 list him as a dentist. He had an
office in the Pogue building in Dadeville per the Tallapoosa Voice c. 1890. A.F.M.
may have been in Co. C 6th Ala Cav. CSA- From Some Pioneers pg. 129 by Sandra
Scott Wilson. He and his wife are buried in Canna Prim. Bapt. Church Cem. near
Waverly in two marked but worn graves.
